My name is Øystein Bakke, a resident of Oslo, Norway and I work as an illustrator.

I have a certificate of completion in SFX (special effects).
SFX is quite different from an illustrators work, but the process work behind every project is the same.
Ideas and sketches.
I worked freelance for a couple of years and contributed in a couple of Norwegian movies. "Julenatt i Blåfjell",
"Tomme Tønner" and "Knerten gifter seg". I also worked on commercials for "paradox" and "gule sider", among other smaller projects.

Last I got myself a certificate of completion as an Illustrator.
Up until now I have made band merch, a couple of article illustrations and held an art exhibition.

I got my certificate in SFX from NISS (Nordic School of Stage and Studio), and my certificate as an Illustrator from NKH (The Norwegian school of creativity).

I was born in 1986, the year of the tiger, on the 14th of july around 2:00 pm.
Some say Norwegians are born with skis on their feet, but I propably had a pencil in my hand instead and screamed for a sharpener when I came out.
I've been drawing and painting ever since I was a little kid, and I remember sitting by the kitchen window looking out at the other kids while they ran around while I was either reading a book or drawing sea monsters. When they looked up at me through the window I would hide, like it was dangerous for them to see me. I was a bit of a weirdo, maybe I still am. 
I didn't only sit by that window, I played soccer and did normal things too, but when I was inside in an artistic mood I got a bit weird. I still prefer being completely alone when I'm drawing, it's just one of those things I can't do when people are around. Maybe it's because I mimic the facial expressions of the characters I draw.. It might look a bit silly.
